Pancreatic Insufficiency

Does anyone know of a vet that specializes or has dealt with this type of diagnose. I am also looking for someone local whose pet may have also been diagnosed with this type of ailment in their pet to find a support group (besides what is online)

There are no specialists in Internal Medicine in the Wichita area. Diagnosis of Pancreatic Insuffeciency is relatively easy. The dog (or cat) is fasted for 12 hours and blood work is drawn. The sample is sent to a lab to check the TLI and is often combined with a folate/cobolamine test. If the dog has pancreatic insuffeciency, the dog is placed on a supplement sprinkled on their food for life. Pancreatic insuffeciency is most common in german shepherd dogs.
