Pug Tails - My plea for a Presidential Pug

Dear fellow Americans,
I know that we are all in agreement when I say that the next President of these great United States needs a great dog in the White House. With no disrespect to the Labradoodles and Portuguese Water Hounds of the world, I believe the pug is the best choice for our country.
My fellow pugs are loyal, kind and a so-ugly-we’re-actually-adorable breed. I know Malia is allergic to most dogs, but I think she will be so overcome by our greatness that it just won’t matter. Plus, I trust that there is a fine cleaning staff at their new place who will constantly brush me and clean up any hair I shed.
Pugs have been known to do great things and I am a fine example of that. I was orphaned several years ago and adopted by a loving family who taught me how to read and write, and most importantly, the meaning of love. I would not be where I am today without them (and their food and water). I am proof that anything is possible in this country.
Please consider signing this petition to put a pug in the White House. The Obamas will thank you for it.

I agree with you, there should be a pug in the White House. Please consider this as a paw print to the declaration of a pug in the White House.Posted Jan 18, '09

We agree that a pug would be a great choice for the Obamas! Chihuahuas like us would not do too good there -- we would get lost a lot, and it would take us forever to learn our way around that HUGE house! Good luck with your petition! -- Annie, Lizzie, and OsiPosted Jan 18, '09

As long as it's a rescue dog, even if it's a pug ^_^, it's a good choice!Posted Jan 18, '09
