Snuffleupagus, a 1-year-and-5-month-old Giant Schnauzer, loves to snuggle and is known around the Kansas Humane Society as the life of the party. Simply put, this gal loves to have a good time and can’t wait to show off her personality in her forever home. This darling, wire-haired, copper-eyed dog was found running loose this summer. When no one came to claim her after three days, soon-to-be-named Snuffleupagus was transferred to the Kansas Humane Society, where she was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. A volunteer, touched by her exuberant yet gentle nature, wrote on her information card, “One look at my scruffy face and I know you will love me. I’m mighty hard to resist, you know! I think maybe my name should be SNUGGLEupagus!” As further evidence of that irresistibility, the adoption fee for this adorable terrier mix was underwritten by an anonymous donor who sometimes visits the Kansas Humane Society and pays the adoption fee for the pets she falls in love with but can’t take home herself.
