The winner in our fall 2008 photo contest is ... Charlie, a 4-month-old English bulldog who "always takes the time to stop and smell the flowers but never eats them," says his human, Kristi Mueller.
Charlie's photo received 302 votes out of 1,590 cast. Kristi and Charlie win a photo session with an Eagle photographer and a set of prints.
Runners-up, who will receive $20 gift cards to a local pet store, are:
El Hombre, a yellow Lab pup, with 248 votes;
Lizzie Izzy, a Chihuahua, 225 votes; and
Henry, a black pug, 144 votes.
Rounding up the top 10 are: Kash, an Australian shepherd puppy; Choppy, a Jack Russell; Chelsea, a tabby cat; Chance, a Great Pyrenees pup; and Jazzi, a basset hound.
