Doggie baths

I've had Lucy for three months now. I have yet to give her a bath. The vet said unless she's smells or is dirty, a bath is not necessary. She doesn't smell. She's not dirty. Yet somehow I feel like a bad mom for not putting her in the tub regularly.
Thoughts?
