Nice to meet you!
Last week I blogged about a wonderful and beautiful black American Pit Bull Terrier named Onix. It is with great pleasure that I inform you that she has been adopted!! She was adopted by no ordinary person, but by Caring Hands Humane Society themselves!! Onix is officially an honorary citizen and lifelong member of our facility! I am overjoyed with this decision and can not wait to get started on her training and certification!
Onix (who will now be referred to as Onyx, with proper spelling) will be attending my obedience classes beginning tonight to freshen up on some basic skills outside of the work place. She will then go through her practice classes to get her certification as a therapy dog at Wag’en Tail Ranch. Upon completion of that, she will begin to go to the local nursing homes and the volunteer programs outside of Caring Hands Humane Society.
I am telling you about these things because I am asking for your help to sponsor her. Please help support her in her confidence and training by donating today. There is a huge future for this young girl and we are so proud and excited to have her on staff with us! I encourage YOU to come out today (or sometime soon!) and meet her in person! She loves to work for treats and has such positive manners that we can’t wait for you to meet her! Keep a look out for her at events and when you come in to adopt! Onyx loves to go for ‘bye-bye’ rides and I love taking her with me when the weather permits on my lunch break! She, too looks forward to meeting you in the near future.
Not always do we get to hear about all of the thousands of positive stories about the American Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshires, however we do hear about the few negative stories.
