Saving Lives One at a Time!
Molly's Final Request

Molly in her 'good ole days' drinking from the fountain in our court yard at Caring Hands.
As you have probably heard, Molly passed away just after her 23rd birthday. Not at all an easy thing to adjust to around here. We all miss her scratchy meow and loving head rubs. Yep, she definitely lead a great life here with us at Caring Hands Humane Society.
For those of you that aren't familiar with Molly, she was, and will always be, our best friend at Caring Hands. She was the door greeter and leg rubber. Everyone loved Molly. She was always happy, purring and ready for love. I have only been at Caring Hands for 3 years, so my time with her was short in comparison with Mike, Kayla and Kevin, who have both been here about 10 years. Still, not even half of her life! I watched Molly go from old to very very old. I watched her running trot become a painful limp. I listened to her scratchy meow become a low mew. I watched as she so happily stole food from other cats with her paws through the bars to sometimes not wanting to eat to soemtimes forgetting that she ate. I watched as she became less immune to the illnesses that present themselves here at times. Yes, I watched as she aged right before my very eyes. It wasn't easy for me, as I'm sure it wasn't easy for any of us who worked here. And then there is you. You graciously came through the door to see your dear Molly and she wasn't here one day. We know how you feel because we feel it, too.
Her memory can AND WILL go on, with your help.
Before she passed, she made one final plea. She asked that on her birthday, everyone donate to Caring Hands in honor of her memory to help save the animals in our care. We have grouped together to see to it that we honor her wish.
It was such a simple request. She asked that the animals that come in needing emergency and immediate veterinary care be able to be cared for in ways that could potentially save their life. Ways that have been available to her all these past 23 years, ways that we are saving Titan's hip, ways that we have saved Moose, the Great Pyrenese and the many many others.
By donating to Tuffy's Fund, you are literally SAVING THE LIVES of animals that might otherwise have passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Molly urges you to please think of those animals when your birthday comes about this year and donate in her honor.
