A walk by Connie's kennel and you may find yourself thinking, 'This dog is a bit nuts!'  When in fact, she's just THAT HAPPY!!  She has a natural excitement to her that she isn't always sure how to contain to give that 'adopt me' appeal that so many others have.  So a walk by Connie's kennel is just that, a walk on by...

No stop to say, "Hello!" as she does her best circle jumps to wave down your attention.  No fingers placed through the fencing to allow her to lick a 'please pick me.'  And no leash in hand to tell her, "Yes, I'll give you a chance outside of your kennel to win me over."

So there Connie sits...

Feeling ignored, feeling sad and ironically feeling a ton of happiness!  Yes, even though she has been rejected for the 7 months she has been in Caring Hands, she still keeps a smile on her pretty black face.  She still anticipates a new home out of each new passerby with the same enthusiasm that she had on her very 1st day here.

Maybe the next time you walk by her, you will be the one with the pause, the finger through the cage and the leash in hand.

And just maybe, she will be the one to escort you home.
